Stuck Sketches Nov 1st Sketch Entry

I decided to play along with this FUN Sketch from

Here is my take on the sketch, along with some close ups for you:
This memory capture is of me and my friend Arlene, who lives in Florida. This is the first time we had ever met, other than our Facebook friendship ! We are actually connected by my friendship with her sister Lisa who lives in CT.  Arlene graciously helped us out with transportation when we arrived in FLA for a 14 night cruise - and took us to lunch at the Awesome Rocco's Taco's, and to a liquor store to stock up for our trip! LOL!  It was WONDERFUL to meet her, and for her to take time out of her day to be our personal chauffeur!

Love these statements!!  So true!!

Love the mix of layers, patterns and sprays of Mists!

Can you find where I hid this little journaling tag in the layout photo above?

Thanks for stopping by and THANKS to Stuck?! Sketches for this AWESOME Challenge too!

For those that know me - I sure do love my sprays and inks!  This challenge was just so much fun!  I've been a fan of Glimmer Mist for-eh-ver!!!  I hope you can find the time to join us and play along!!

and here is my Design Team Layout for your inspiration:
I love this FUN photo of my friends Liz and Janice - 2 of my scrappy peeps - and me, at a FABULOUS Mermaid weekend crop hosted by Scrap-a-Doodle Doo,  www.shopthedoo.com  Their crops and themes are always so much FUN - a GOOD TIME is always had by all!  #gottalovethedoo
Here is a close up of the Dusty Attic Chipboard swirl that I sprayed with 3 different sprays, and then dabbed with Nuvo Mousse!  I LOVE how it came out!  I also love those cool "Wood Sprinkles" from Jillibean Soup too!

Here is an even closer, close up of all the inky, shimmery goodness!  I also splattered some of the Chalkboard Glimmer Mist over the layout - you can see some of the little specs here.

Love the googly eyes my friend Marianne gave me to add to the little jellyfish on the right.  Love the jellyfish umbrella prop and our smiles in the photo too!
I only used part of the jellyfish paper on the layout, and then fussy cut some of the extra jellyfish out from the paper that was left. I then popped them with 3D Foam dots when I added the to the layout.
If you haven't guessed - the theme of this weekend crop was "Let's Be Mermaids" - Love that mermaid scale washi tape too!

One more close up of this sweet little jellyfish, along with the "enamel" dots that I made in 4 different colors, using Nuvo's Crystal Drops :-)  They are just so much FUN!

Thanks for stopping by - I hope I've inspired you to get your inks and sprays out and play along with us this month at the Challenge YOUrself Blog!  Click on the link for MORE Inspiration, Prize Info and Challenge Rules!

November SOS Tic Tac Toe - THANKSGIVING DINNER!

Hi Scrappy Peeps - It is time for Scrap Our Stash's November Tic Tac Toe Challenge
What a FUN board this is!!
I couldn't just pick one row, so I picked 2 !!
I selected -
Row #1 - Echo Park, Fall Theme, The Color Brown and
Row #2 - Tab(s,) Fall Theme, Journaling Card

Here is my DT layout for your inspiration:
Cooking Thanksgiving Dinner for our family is one of my favorite traditions!  I use my Great Great Aunt Ethel's stuffing recipe and there are always a few "must haves" or standard items too! My Dad cuts the Turkey and our 2 dogs wait patiently for scraps of turkey to "magically" fall to the floor. I think the one thing my layout is missing is "smell-o-vision!"
I love the smell of the turkey roasting in the oven! I also love how these chipboard leaves that I colored with Ranger Distress Stains, came out too!
Yes, that is my Thanksgiving plate!  I love the "I ate this" tab from Dusty Attic - I also used Ranger Distress Stains to color it!
I cut the title out of a journaling card from the Echo Park "I Love Fall" Collection, and matted it on orange cardstock. I used some lace sticky tape that I've had for years and Prima "Say it in Crystals" that have been around for some time too!
Mixing patterns and textures makes me happy!
I tucked this tag behind the Turkey photo. I used 3M Foam Tape to make a pocket and slipped it in behind it.
I then added my journaling of our family favorites to the back, adding washi tape to the bottom, and as a pull tag.

Thanks for stopping by - I hope I have inspired you to, play along with us at the Scrap Our Stash Blog - please stop by the SOS Blog, and play along with us this month!

Happy Scrapping and Happy Thanksgiving!
May your Turkey be moist, your stuffing flavorful, your mashed potatoes and gravy be free of lumps, and don’t forget the cranberry sauce!
